Mali to miss trio for Ghana tie

kanouteMali coach Stephen Keshi has named his 23-man squad for next week’s final 2010 joint Nations Cup/World Cup qualifier against Ghana without three influential players.Trio,Frederic Kanoute, Mohamed Sissoko and Mahamadou Diarra, regarded as Mali’s biggest stars have been rested to recover fully from different injuries.  But Nice forward Mamadou Bagayoko and Deportivo Xerez’s Sidi Yaya Keita have been line up to shore up their quest for a win at the Baba Yara Stadium on 15 November.

The Black Stars recorded a 0-2 win at the Stade 26 mars in June in the first leg thanks to goals from Kwadwo Asamoah and Mathew Amoah.
Ghana top the Group D table with 12 points, four points more than closet challengers Mali.
