GTV Transmission to receive further boost

gtvGhana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) has given assurance that from Sunday the 1st of November television reception would improve. This follows the contracting of another satellite distributor to carry GTV to the transmitting sites for nationwide transmission.

A statement by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Doris Kuwornu said from Sunday, the frequent picture freezing and audio breaks that have affected Television reception will cease.

It said the problem was traced to interference from an unknown source on the Satellite carrying GTV programmes but several efforts to solve the problem through the increase of transmission power of the Satellite and change of frequency of the Satellite proved futile.
