After a disappointing 1-1 drawn game with Great Olympics at the Ohene Djan Stadium last Sunday, Kumasi Asante Kotoko yesterday beat visiting Sekondi Eleven Wise 2-1 in a mid-week clash of match-day two.
Playing in front of their supporters, Kotoko made known their intentions of securing a win immediately the match official whistled for hostilities to begin as they pushed their hapless opponents to the wall.

In a true reflection of the duel, the Porcupine Warriors brought the smiles back on the faces of their red army of supporters when midfielder Ganiru Yahaya found the back of the net in the 3rd minute of the game.

Kotoko hanged onto their slim lead for most part of the first half but only to allow the visitors to come back into the game two minutes to the break when Wise scored via Yussif Nurudeen’s solo effort.

Kotoko jumped into the driving seat again after Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin’s pep talk.

New import Kabiru Imoro, formerly of RTU, scored his first goal of the season and it proved to be the match winner for the Porcupine Warriors. From I.F. Joe Awuah Jnr., Kumasi
