The Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), DCOP Frank Adu-Poku, has challenged Personnel of the Department to review their working and operational methods in order to meet the increasing sophisticated crimes in the country.

Detectives, he said, must equip themselves with new or modern systems of crime investigation and also embark on regular training to enhance their operations.  The CID Director General stated this at the opening of a five – week training course for fifty Detectives from the Northern sector of the country.  The participants were drawn from the Volta, Brong-Ahafo, Northern, Upper East and West regions.

DCOP Frank Adu-Poku maintained that the Police Service is a noble profession, hence the CID which is a major pillar of the Police Service must also be professional in the discharge of its duties.  He commended the Inspector General of Police for his desire to ensure that personnel training become the order of the day.
