Accra, Oct. 19, GNA – Mr Isaac Mensah, former National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Okaikoi South, has urged the youth of the party to intensify their organisational programmes to enable it to win in 2012.

Mr Mensah, who lost to Nana Akomea of the New Patriotic Party in the 2008 general election, said there was victory ahead of the party and urged supporters to exercise patience and wait for President John Evans Atta Mills to deliver his campaign promises.

He was speaking at the inauguration of a 10-member elected executive of the party at the Kaneshie Number One ‘B’ branch in Accra. He said the NDC was aware of the numerous challenges that the nation faced and gave the assurance that the party would do everything possible to correct the anomalies

Mr Mensah asked members of the NDC to preach peace in line with the national objectives. Mr Richard Quaye, Constituency Chairman of the NDC who sworn in the executives cautioned the supporters that it would not be in the party’s interest if they resort to condemning and undermining one another.

Mr Quaye said the constituency hierarchy of the party would fashion out a well planed campaign programme and messages that would reflect on the current situation in the country.

The 10-member executives are Mr John Kofi Amuzu as Chairman, Mr William Amarteifio, Secretary, Mr Julius Ashiagbor, Propaganda Secretary, Mr Harold Quartey Organiser and Mr Robert Quaye Treasurer.

The rest are Madam Mercy Addo , Women Organiser, Mr Emmanuel Quartey and Mr Sammy de Souza as youth organisers and Mrs Augustine Ashiagbor and Mr Dele Adebisi as executive members.
