Flintoff begins recovery

Andrew Flintoff
England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff is facing at least six weeks on crutches after undergoing knee surgery on Monday.
The 31-year-old Ashes hero retired from Test cricket after the 2-1 series triumph over Australia – and immediately underwent surgery on his right knee in London.
The routine arthroscopy and micro-fracture to two small areas on the knee was carried out by surgeon Andy Williams.
And Flintoff
now faces another lengthy spell of rehabilitation.
An England and Wales Cricket Board statement read: “The recovery will require him to be non weight-bearing for the first six to eight weeks post surgery.
“At the end of this six-to-eight-week period, the knee will be reviewed by his surgeon and the timescale for ongoing rehabilitation further determined.”
